Got more windows installed today–kitchen garden window and start of garage window–plus completion of interior trim around all other windows. Great to be nearing the end of this project, but the mess that erupted from the garden window is far more than I expected. Everything in the kitchen, dining room and living room is covered with a fine white powder! Apparently the new window is a bit larger than the previous window, resulting in cutting away of drywall and producing a huge amount of dust! They have to finish the trim around the garden window tomorrow, so I did little more than a light sweeping of the floor and wiping off the counter. Guess I know what I’ll be doing this Labor Day weekend!

And finally, Kobe! Thank God the criminal part is over! I don’t think she would have won had they gone to trial, but I’m relieved it didn’t get to that…and no doubt Jerry Buss and the Lakers are relieved as well. I expect the civil case will be settled with some massive payout to her–you can’t tell me she didn’t do this for the money. Hopefully Kobe (and other sports stars) will learn a lesson from this…
