I’ve spent the entire weekend working…and I’m exhausted! Had to paint all the stucco patches around all the new windows as well as the trim around the garage window. As long as I was painting, I finally painted the fence next to the garage on the south side of the house. We rebuilt it over a year ago and I just never got around to painting it. It was still the nasty gray color that the house used to be! I painted it yellow to match the house for now…I may change my mind later and paint it the same color green as the front fence by the porch.

Then I trimmed the ficus tree next to the front porch that was rapidly overgrowing it’s space. Amazing how this tree has taken off since we took it out of the pot and put it in the ground. Also transferred some hanging geraniums into new pots and hung them next to the new bay window. Still have lots and lots to do outside, but it’s just too damn hot and I’m too tired.

Still gotta give Murphy a bath, put out lots of trash, wash the kitchen floor, and get as many odds and ends completed before Patrick gets home from S.F. Wish I had a week off right now so that I could really get everything done around this house. All the followup work related to the new windows have really taken a toll on the rest of the house. Plus lots of the dust and dirt in the house is directly the result of the new windows.

I’d really like to lay down and take a nap right now. Maybe just 20 min. or so…
