So it sounded more like the way Dubya wants things to be rather than reality. I’ve been around for awhile and have heard lots of State of the Union speeches and seem to recall they used to be just that–the state of our country. Not what someone wants it to be. How did this happen? Presidents used to tell about what was happening and then intersperse their ideas for the future. Tonight’s speech was only what Dubya wants. Oh yeah, he had the woman from Iraq so he could pat himself on the back regarding the elections, but that’s the only thing I heard about something that had actually occurred. What about health care advances, education, the economy, technology, the space program, etc, etc? Maybe nothing was said because the country is not in great shape…or maybe he isn’t smart enough to be able to speak intelligently about these issues. Nothing but his view of problems and proposed solutions were mentioned. And will he ever learn how to pronounce the word nuclear?! 2008 can’t come soon enough…

unfortunately, it seems that he’s completely comfortable with his pronunciation.
Probably just doing it to piss everyone off at this point 😛
