I know I said I wasn’t going to complain, but this is ridiculous! I didn’t move to California for heat coupled with high humidity! It rained here today which just added to the heaviness in the air. Went outside around 3 pm and came back in barely able to breathe along with chest pains. I was fine once I was in the a/c for a few minutes. Then had the same problem when I got home where the house felt like an oven. Both Patrick and I were gone all day and we didn’t leave any of the a/c’s on…big mistake. Will have to change that for the rest of the week since nothing is supposed to change much until early next week. I dread heading to Phoenix in 1-1/2 weeks where it’s even worse. Think I’ll bring along some playing cards since I have no desire to do anything that involves being outside, other than the already planned-for activities. Thankfully they will all be held indoors!
Going to go take a dip in the pool. Patrick says the pool temp is 84 degrees, so it should feel great! For the first time in a long time, I’m grateful to have this pool!

Didn’t know you guys don’t have a/c…oh my god, don’t know how you can stand it! Thought there was something wrong with me with having trouble breathing, so am glad to hear I’m not alone. Swimming helped, but even the water began to feel too warm after about 1/2 hour!
No a/c in Van Nuys?! Ack, be careful!
