I just found out this afternoon that my sister, Jean, has kidney cancer. I didn’t even know such a thing existed. It has spread to the lymph nodes surrounding her kidneys and they believe it may also have spread to her lungs. We’ll know more tomorrow.
This whole scenario is just unbelievable. She had no symptoms that you would expect to be indicative of cancer. She’s been tired ever since we returned from our trip to Phoenix, but thought that had to do with major lack of sleep that weekend. It took me almost a week to get back to normal. She decided to see the doctor due to some shortness of breath. All the talk on the news about lung cancer got her to thinking she should get checked. Thankfully she didn’t do like me and put it off, thinking it would go away.
Much of what I’ve read today on line indicates this is curable. But, it depends on how far it’s progressed. We don’t know that part yet. Treatment involves surgery and followup medications with heavy duty side effects. Apparently this type of cancer can’t be treated with either radiation or chemotherapy.
For anyone reading this, if you are into praying, please say one or two for my sister.

I am so sorry to hear this, but I am really hopeful and sending many, many positive vibes and lots of white light to you and your whole family.
Your sis is totally going to pull through. I just know it.
Please let me know if there is anything at all I can do that would help you.
Thanks for your kind words. Spoke with my sister this morning and she seemed very positive and upbeat. She has a cancerous tumor in one kidney which means she will most likely lose that one…but the other one seems ok. No results yet on any other tests, however, her doctors seem optimistic. Keep the white light coming!
