My sister does not have lung cancer! She met with the urologist today and has scheduled surgery to remove one of her kidneys on 8/30. Then they will treat her with meds to strengthen her immune system to fight off the tumors that have spread to her lungs. The kidney they will be removing has a malignant tumor that has increased the size of her kidney to 5 times that of a normal one! Things seem far more promising today than they did earlier in the week. She still has to face major surgery (6 hours worth!), but the prognosis for recovery sounds good.

Whew! A heavy load has been lifted. Still carrying around some baggage, but it’s not as heavy as it was 24 hours ago.
