I’m leaving Saturday morning and will arrive in Columbus around 7 pm. My sister has been told that she has only a short time remaining and I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t go back and spend some time with her. I made the reservations a week ago, but didn’t want to post anything until she knew I was coming. It will be wonderful to see her again, but absolutely awful when it comes time to leave. Don’t know how I’m going to handle that part.

She’s still in the hospital and will begin the interferon treatments in a few days. Don’t know how that will go, but she’s decided to fight and is willing to try anything and everything. She’s extremely weak physically right now…but extremely strong in spirit. She’s angry that life has dealt her this crappy hand, so maybe that anger will help to conquer the cancer. Let’s hope.

Will be back on October 8th, so probably won’t update till then. Wish me well…and keep praying (or whatever you do) for Jean.
