I’m OK. There are no polyps in my colon…and as of this morning, not much else either! The colonoscopy showed that my only problem is diverticulosis, which is an inflammation of the lower part of the colon. Procedure was no big deal, especially since I slept through all of it meaning no pain. The night before, however, was hell and I have no desire to EVER do that again. Without going into all the gory details…well, just know that it was awful. I still can’t believe that I intentionally made myself so sick just to find out there was nothing wrong.

Seems I had some kind of an allergic reaction to something I encountered in the hospital. Either it was the anesthetic or something in the air or who knows what. Started sneezing in recovery and it continued until just a little while ago. It stopped when I took a nice hot bath at about 9:00. Hopefully I washed away whatever it was or, if it was from the anesthetic, it’s finally out of my system.

I’m sooo glad this is over. Now I can get on with things without having health concerns. Going to put away all the Halloween stuff tomorrow and get this house cleaned up from Patrick’s party last Monday. It’s not all that bad, but just want to get things straightened up, vacuumed and dusted. Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away and I want to be organized and ready for the big day. With no more parties in the near future, I’m hoping things will stay somewhat clean for awhile.

With still a bit of anesthetic hanging around, I’m heading off for a restful night of sleep. I’m ready for nothing stressful this weekend.
