Once again Loki is providing the vet with her annual Christmas bonus. I took him in this afternoon and he will have surgery in the morning for an abcess. Fortunately I caught it early enough that it hadn’t grown too large yet. This is the third year in a row that he has had surgery to remove an abcess during the month of December. Loki came home last night and is not a happy kitty. He is drinking water but hasn’t yet eaten anything. The vet said this was one of the worst abcesses she’s ever removed. I talked with Patrick tonight, and he feels it may have been there for quite a long time. He said that he felt a hard mass on Loki’s belly every time he rubbed his belly. So who knows. Maybe it’s been there for longer than any of us knew. And maybe it wasn’t an abcess…
