It’s Sunday morning — one of the days I can sleep in — and I awoke at 6:45 am. Laid back down for a few minutes until I realized I was wide awake! While I did go to bed a bit early for a Saturday (11:30 pm), I can’t believe I felt so alert and awake at that hour of the morning. And now I am wondering what to get started on first…
Still have 7 tax returns to complete (including my own!), but am not all that eager to deal with them right now. I promised myself last year that I wouldn’t be doing so many tax returns this year, but it seems I can’t say no. Looks like I’ll be doing 10-12 by the time tax season is over.
I also have a bunch of accounting work to do for one of my clients, but am *really* not eager to do that! While the extra $$$ is nice, I absolutely hate spending my evenings and weekends doing more accounting. I have so many other things that I’d rather be doing. Perhaps it won’t seem so much of a burden once I get through tax season.
I bought a new hedge trimmer (appropriately called a “Bushwhacker” — I love that name!) and am anxious to try it out. The weather today is dry but cool, so I may get out this afternoon for a bit to whack a few bushes!
Am watching the LA Marathon as well as “March Madness.” The Marathon is really only interesting at the end, plus seeing them run through empty streets in downtown LA. It’s pretty amazing seeing all those streets downtown completely empty of cars and traffic. Fortunately, it’s a beautiful day for running in that it’s sunny and cool. Some of the basketball games have been exciting, some not so. I don’t have a favorite, but always like to see some of the underdogs do well.
Patrick went snowboarding yesterday. I talked with him briefly last night and he had a good time and didn’t injure himself severely — just a few bumps and bruises. Thank God! I really wasn’t up for spending last night at the hospital. At least he now has insurance!
Well, time to get up off my butt and get busy. Why waste all this early morning alert time!
