I can’t believe Thanksgiving is almost here.  And then it will be just a few weeks until Christmas.  And I’m not ready for that.

Went grocery shopping last night and now only need to get the turkey and a few other items for the big dinner next Thursday.  Put away the groceries last night only to realize the dumb girl who loaded my cart left out one bag!  It was at Albertson’s (where I always shop) so I’ll stop by tomorrow with my receipt and get those things replaced that I’m missing.  I think the bag girl was new as I’ve never seen her before.

I’m going to go to Ralph’s (Kroger for those of you in Ohio) to get my turkey as it’s only $4 with a $25 order.  Albertson’s has “buy one – get one free” but, since I’m not going to be here for Christmas, it’s not cost efficient to get 2 turkeys.  I’ve also started to get the items I’ll need for Magic Cookie Bars as well as a few other Christmas goodies.

Have no idea what I’m doing about Christmas shopping.  Probably will wind up doing a bunch of it online.  Can’t wait till the last minute this year since I’m leaving for Seattle on 12/22.  Would like to try to get it all done by 12/10 so that I’ll have at least one weekend before I leave to finish up baking, cleaning and gift-wrapping.

Can’t believe I’m making Holiday plans.  Where did fall go?
