Kevin called last night to report that it took him 4 hours to get home from work yesterday–because they had 6″ of snow and it was still coming down! He had to park his car blocks away from his house as he couldn’t get up the hill due to all the snow and ice. Fortunately, his stay in PA right after college taught him how to drive in the snow–which he says many of the folks in and around Seattle don’t know how to do.
Meanwhile, back in So.Cal, the weather forecasters are saying we might need to change the name to Sno.Cal. tomorrow! Temps will be dropping into the 20’s and 30’s and snow is forecast to fall as low as 1000 ft–which is about where my house sits! I can’t imagine what the LA drivers will do if it snows! Will try to get pictures if it happens.
Got my gas bill today and was shocked–$105 for the month of December when I was gone for 10 days! Gonna start piling on the layers of clothing and curling up in the blanket I got for Christmas. Thankfully a good part of January has been warm but these next few days could take a big chunk out of my wallet.
