…or maybe two or three.  I got a great raise at work!  Enough money that I’ve decided to quit doing accounting work at home.  I had been thinking about quitting this ‘extra’ work for awhile, but the raise made it much easier to do.  The increase is retroactive to the first of the year, so my check next week should be a biggie.

While the money will be nice, the best part will be having my evenings and weekends free to do whatever I want!  I will be doing a few tax returns this year, but am only doing them for family and a few close friends.  Have already said no to people from last year who had complicated returns and sent the letters of resignation to my private clients.

Am finally getting over the cold/congestion that’s been plaguing me for about 10 days.  After wasting all of last weekend doing nothing, I plan to spend this weekend working around the house and yard.  We had a good rain yesterday, so now is a good time to get the weeds pulled and loosen the soil in the flowerbeds.  Only a few more weeks until daylight savings time begins and I’ll be able to work in the yard after work.  I’m ready for spring!
