I can’t believe how hot it is outside. Supposed to be in the low 90’s and I’m sure it is. If the pool was warm enough, I would go swimming! It is sooo beautiful right now in my yard. If the roses were blooming, it would be perfect…lots of buds, but no blooms just yet. However, the pink jasmine vine is in full bloom and smells wonderful as do all the orange and lemon blossoms at the side of the house right outside my kitchen window.
Put in all the new solar lights and am excited to see how they look tonight. Had to water the entire yard and flower beds and will try to finish feeding all the roses in a bit. Decided not to trim bushes but will wait until next weekend when the temps are a bit cooler–only in the 70’s/80’s. May do a bit of weeding/cleaning at the side of the house where I can sit in the shade.
What a great start to daylight saving time!

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackHello, I found your blog when typing in Night Blooming Jasmine. I smiled as I read it because my son and daughter in law and their three week old baby Thomas are in that area this weekend trying to find an apartment. He has a new job in the electronics field after 7 years with Texas Instruments in Tucson. And I am at home in Louisiana working on our yard! I have lemon trees, and am planting sweet olive and azaleas and Heavenly Bamboo and KnockOut Roses. . . you perhaps can tell it’s a new house with a vacant yard.
I appreciated your appreciation of Southern California, and am sure our kids will love it. And I can’t wait to visit!!!!
Thanks for your response. Hope you’re able to visit So.Cal. when the Night Blooming Jasmine are in full bloom…the scent is absolutely glorious! Mine usually bloom twice a year–once in June and again in mid-August through early September. Sounds like a lot of work landscaping a new yard, but also a lot of fun picking out all the new plants. Hope some jasmine makes it into your yard…and hope your son and his family find a nice home.
