I’m exhausted.  Spent part of yesterday and all day today working in the backyard.  Trimmed all the bushes along the back fence, cleaned out the leaves in the flowerbeds (that I haven’t yet finished planting) and pulled weeds in the flowerbed along the back of the house.  Whew!  I filled the entire yard waste can, about half of the regular trash can and two old-fashioned trash cans that I’ll empty into the yard waste can next week.  Still have to work on the side of the house, but overall the backyard is looking fabulous!  It’s beginning to look like another room out there that is loaded with flowers from one end of the yard to the other.  By next weekend it will all be completed and I’ll have a wonderful relaxing retreat to head off to this summer.

Finished my taxes on Friday and e-filed both state and federal even though it was Friday the 13th.  Unfortunately, I was unable to work on Kevin’s and Soula’s taxes this weekend–which is why I was able to get so much work done in the yard.  They sent everything by priority mail last Monday, but I never received the package.  God knows where it is.  So I’ll be doing an extension for them and will be doing a lot of praying that the package eventually shows up.  Meanwhile, they are trying to deal with getting replacements for all the documents they sent.

Speaking of Kevin and Soula, tomorrow is the day when they hope to find out whether they are having a boy or a girl.  I’m very anxious as I’m sure they are, too.  I’m mostly hopeful that the baby is ok.
