Patrick came over yesterday and we cleaned out the room that is to become my office.  We tossed a lot of stuff and packed away a lot into Rubbermaid tubs.  The space has been cleared so that I can clean and paint and move lots of bookcases and other furniture from the family room into the office.

I patched big and small holes in the walls today from pictures, posters and kicks.  Tonight I painted the ceiling…and what a bitch that was!  Wouldn’t have been so bad except for the ceiling fan in the middle of the room.  I covered it in plastic, but had to turn off the a/c ’cause it kept blowing the plastic and that would start the fan moving.  I was totally soaked with sweat by the time I finished…but I did get the ceiling finished.

Tomorrow I’ll be putting primer on the walls and trim and will start the paint on the walls later in the day.  Hopefully I’ll be working on the trim by Tuesday so that I can have everything moved in there by the end of the week.

Did I mention that it is hotter than hell here?  The temps are supposed to be around 100 degrees all week.  Seems every time I take off work to do work around the house it gets unbelievably hot.  Fortunately the a/c is working well.  And there is the pool.
