It has been a great long weekend, but certainly not long enough. I could use more time…a lot more time!

Worked in the yard a lot, cleaning up leaves (damn next door tree) and weeds. Trimmed the ice plant along the side of the house and got the front beds ready for planting. And then today I planted some snapdragons, pansies and violas out front. Hopefully Loki won’t dig them up as he likes to do that. It’s supposed to start raining tomorrow and will continue all week, so I got everything planted just in time. I still have to fertilize the plants and roses this afternoon, but things are looking good for spring in the front yard.

Finished Kevin’s and Soula’s taxes last night (Yay big refund! Yay tax deduction Robin!) and got them sent off. Also finished the taxes for a woman I work with but am still working on her amended return for 2005. Have a few more returns to do for people at work (probably 2-3) and that will be it. Oh, and mine of course! I’ve started it, but still need to enter in all my deductions and business expenses for the accounting work I did last year. I want all of this finished before I go to Seattle at the end of March. I just don’t want to come home and have to face nonstop tax prep in April.

Going to try to get my hair cut yet this afternoon as it’s starting to look pretty raggedy and stop at the grocery for a few things. Thought about going to Kohl’s for their President’s Day sale, but decided to resist the temptation. I wind up spending too much every time I go there.

So the long weekend ends and it’s been a great one. Next up 3-1/2 days off for Easter starting on 3/21!!!
