Spent the evening watching the Oscars…kind of. I watched the show, just am not sure who all the winners were. Mostly because I don’t know a lot of them or the movies they were in, produced, directed, etc. As most of you know, I rarely go to movies. I might have liked a few of them, but most just weren’t my kind of movie. The other reason I’m not remembering a lot about the show is that I took a vicodin just before it started.

For some reason I started having severe pain in my left shoulder last night. After putting up with it for almost 24 hours, I turned to the vicodin. I had already soaked in a couple of hot tubs and used Ben-Gay and ibuprofin. None of that helped. I worked in the yard yesterday trimming a bunch of ice plant. I had to lift the container I was using up to the large trash container, and probably put too much in the container, making it too heavy. Who knows. But the shoulder still hurts and I’ll be taking lots of ibuprofin and Ben-Gay with me to work tomorrow. Hopefully this will let up within a few days since I only have 3 vicodin remaining.

Last week was a rough week at work, ending on Friday with my staying at home for the day. Don’t want to go into all the gory details, but false accusations were levied at me. This had nothing to do with my job performance, but was more of a personal thing. I felt totally destroyed Thursday night. If I had done something wrong, I would have had it coming. But the accusations were completely false. I’m confident things will be worked out, but I’m not looking forward to facing what’s going to be a trying situation for a bit.

It’s been raining off and on all week and it even hailed last night! Murphy smells very doggy after getting wet many times over the past few days. I had hoped to give him a bath today, but the sore shoulder made that impossible. Lets hope I’m able to take care of the bathing chores later this week. The rain is supposed to be ending by tomorrow and the temps are predicted to be in the 70’s all week. I’m looking forward to it.

Had hoped to get more accomplished this weekend than I did. At least I was finally able to fit in some time to get a haircut. Something kept getting in the way of a trip down the street to the hair salon. I planned to go last weekend but it just didn’t happen. I had to take care of it today as my hair was getting so long that it was totally unmanageable. My house is pretty yukky inside as I’ve done nothing more than dishes, laundry and putting out the trash. Oh well, the cleaning will still be there to be done next weekend.

I really need to get busy working on my taxes this week. I’ve barely started them and really want to get them finished up and sent off before I head off to Seattle at the end of March. Actually, I need to get my refund back before my property taxes are due on April 10th. At least I’ll have some time off coming around Easter if I don’t have them finished by then.
