I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m not going to get everything done this week. Part of it has to do with the hot weather, making it difficult to work outdoors. Part of it has to do with lots of stuff still needing to be done inside. Part of it has to do with lack […]

My time with the auditors is complete and I finished everything on my “to-do list” today at work. And so the first week of my vacation begins! And boy am I ready!!! Had a couple of last minute crises to deal with before I could finally leave (1/2 hour late), but am happy that I […]

First it was Ed McMahon, then Farrah Fawcett and finally number three–Michael Jackson?!?! We all expected Ed McMahon (he was in his late 80’s and not in good health), and Farrah Fawcett was playing a waiting game with her cancer. But Michael Jackson? That’s what they call this miserable weather we’re having in So.Cal. A huge, deep marine layer of moisture has been hanging over us for over a week now…meaning we haven’t seen the sun for that long, as well. It’s so thick and loaded with moisture that we’re now having rain almost every day. While the […]

What a great opening game for the Lakers and Kobe! In case you didn’t watch (and I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t have watched!), the Lakers beat the shit out of Orlando, winning 100-75! And Kobe had 40 points!!! If the Lakers continue like this, it will be a short playoff series… GO LAKERS!!!

The sun was showing through the ‘June gloom” clouds when I left for work this morning. In fact, I thought maybe I dressed too warmly for the day, wearing a long sleeved sweater. Glad I wore it. The sky started to darken mid-morning and the raindrops (and thunder and lightning!) began around one p.m. On […]
