That’s what they call this miserable weather we’re having in So.Cal. A huge, deep marine layer of moisture has been hanging over us for over a week now…meaning we haven’t seen the sun for that long, as well. It’s so thick and loaded with moisture that we’re now having rain almost every day. While the rain is nice for all my new plants, the lack of sun and the wetness is not good for dispositions. Everyone is cranky and crabby being stuck inside our little houses in the middle of June! This shit happens every year, but I can’t ever remember it lasting for more than a few days at a time–never a full week, and never all day without the sun finally breaking through in late afternoon. It’s supposed to break up and move elsewhere by the end of next week, and it can’t happen too soon for me!
The thing that is definitely NOT gloomy is THE LAKERS!!! The game on Thursday was unbelievable!!! Derek Fisher hit two spectacular 3-pointers that won the game. I sat in my family room alone watching the game and was literally jumping up and screaming when he hit those shots! I’m sure that was happening all over Southern California!
One more game, and then they get the trophy! Possibly tomorrow. Am making plans to go to the victory parade next week in downtown LA. Can’t wait!
