Kevin, Chrysoula, Raymond and Michelle decided to take advantage of a more than willing grandma to babysit tonight while they went to see a movie. Robin and I had a great time! First we watched a bunch of Sesame Street videos on my computer, then played with some of his new toys, went out front to do some chalk drawing on the front porch and then headed off for a bath. After ridding his little body of lots and lots of chalk, he got into his pj’s and I brushed his hair. Then we headed back downstairs for some milk, cookies and a bit more playtime. After brushing his teeth (which he loves!), we read two books and then he headed off to bed. Whew!

It really was lots of fun and I think Robin enjoyed his one on one time with grandma. What’s amazing is that he does whatever I tell/ask him to do with no fussing. Even bedtime is calm and peaceful. The only bit of stress came when he wanted to take his birthday balloons into bed with him and grandma said no. He started to tear up a bit, but soon realized that wasn’t going to work, thought better of it and settled down for the night. So now he’s upstairs in bed listening to sleeping music on his little Ipod. After a busy day of lots of playing, I would guess he’ll be out soon.

And grandma won’t be too far behind him!
