Finally I’m able to say something! I’m in a hotel just outside Cincinnati right now, having spent the weekend in Ohio for a surprise 50th birthday party for my sister, Kelly. Everything went off without a hitch and Kelly was completely surprised as she walked in the door at her daughter’s house. She was expecting to drop off her son, Jaden, so that Mandy could babysit while she and her husband, Gary, went out to dinner.

All my brothers and sisters were there as well as most of our kids. Both Kevin and Patrick came and Kevin was able to bring Robin, too. We had a great time visiting with all our siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, etc., etc. And we enjoyed tons and tons of fabulous food that didn’t stop until late morning today after a delicious brunch.

Mandy and her husband, Eric, did a fantastic job of hosting all of us and they both deserve more thanks than I can ever come up with for hosting this motley bunch of relatives. Both Mandy and my sister, Sally, spents tons of time with all the preparations and I thank them both for all their hard work.

There are lots of funny happenings, but too much to go into here–and you probably had to be there to appreciate most of them! I am so glad I was able to be there and am so glad we could do this for Kelly. There were lots of pictures taken and I’ll be posting mine on this site–and no doubt some on Facebook.
