Sort of. The surgeon’s office called today letting me know that 5/20 was ‘tentatively’ a go. However, the hospital won’t confirm until 5/18. If for any reason they say they can’t fit me in that day, then the surgeon’s nurse said she will call the next day and tell them she has an ’emergency’ surgery that needs to be scheduled on the 20th. So, I’m making plans for this all to happen on the 20th. I sure as hell hope the nurse is right.

On a positive note, I searched the UCSD science databases for studies on various phenomena in hysterectomy patients and found you some promising data. I was actually very surprised/pleased to see how positive the results usually are.
I’ll probably see Patrick on Tuesday so I will give it to him. 🙂
Thanks, Kadimah! The surgeon seems to think all will go well, but there’s always a risk when surgery is involved. And he won’t commit to the cancer part until he’s able to test the tumor. But, overall, I feel pretty good about the whole thing. I’ll look forward to seeing what you found.
just one question…is the surgeon cute? it’s my experience that helps 🙂
Oh yeah! He has a photo on his FB page…Alan Schlaerth. Check it out and let me know what you think.
young, cute. but does he flirt with “our” team?
Kinda hard to consider flirting with someone who is sticking his finger…well, you know what I mean.
