How nice it is knowing that I don’t have to go to work for another 15 days! Vanessa and Keith came over today for some swimming, visiting, and a great dinner of filet mignon, baked potatoes and salad…plus a nice bottle of cabernet. Tomorrow we’re heading off early in the morning to the Rose Bowl Flea Market. Can’t wait!

I’ll be leaving on Thursday for Phoenix, AZ. My Uncle George (my mom’s youngest brother) died yesterday at age 87. I’m closer to Arizona than all of my brothers and sisters so I’ll probably be the only one from my family attending the funeral on Friday. Will be coming home on Saturday. It will be good to see my aunts and cousins, but not all that pleasant a visit under the circumstances.

Trying to figure out what project to start on first on Monday. Think it will probably be painting the family room ceiling. The house is in fairly good shape, so I don’t have to do any cleaning before getting started on the projects. Maybe I can get the small things done the first week before leaving for Phoenix and then start in on cleaning out the garage the following week. We’ll see.
