So the Lakers lost to Dallas. The bad thing is that I no longer care about the playoffs. The good thing is that I no longer care about the playoffs! And so I am getting on with my life and am not tied to the TV watching basketball until mid-June.
Spent last weekend trimming citrus trees and putting in the rest of my plants. I cleared the bed on the side of the house next to the citrus trees (thus the reason for trimming them) and put in some butternut squash. Still have a bit more room, so will probably put in a few zucchini and maybe some eggplant. Temps are supposed to be in the 70’s tomorrow–nice for finishing up all the planting.
Got some new wood to rebuild my front gate and am just waiting for Patrick to come over to do some cutting and helping put it together. I’m going to treat it with a wood sealer with the hope that it will last a bit longer once the rains start again next fall. Once that’s done, the outside will be just about finished except for routine maintenance. It’s looking beautiful all over the yard and I’m very pleased with my gardening choices this year. Summer should be fabulous!
And now it’s on to the inside of the house. Too much to even think about right now, so I’m just going to focus on the outside for another week or too!
