I now have new teeth. Dr. Tse is absolutely the best and had me fitted with new teeth in a week. The weekend was a bit uncomfortable, but on Monday he smoothed out some rough spots and all is comfortable. Now it’s just a matter of getting used to extra ‘stuff’ in my mouth. And the price is a lot less than I expected. Will wait to see how much my dental insurance pays before I get too excited. My tongue is rather sore as a result of the antibiotics (a reaction I always have) and I’ll be glad when that goes away. Unfortunately it will probably take a month or so for that to end. Yuk.

The past weekend was super hot with the result being that I did very little yard work. I pulled a few weeds and watered everything, but it was just too hot to do much else. The temps have dropped this week (and I have a 3-1/2 day weekend over Easter!) so I’m hoping to get a bit more done this weekend.

A few weeks ago I labeled all my roses with name signs that were stuck in the ground in front of each rose. Last week my gardener trimmed the front hedge and raked up all the signs with the trimmings! I am sooo pissed! There is no reason why he had to do that. It was simply a case of him not giving a shit. He had to have noticed the signs as there were too many and they had been there for weeks. He’s going to receive a nasty note from me this week.

The cats had a great time being outside most of the day on Saturday and Sunday. Sophie learned about catching critters and brought in a little mouse on Sunday. And then she dropped it. After she tracked him down, I had to be the bad guy and deliver the fatal blow. While I hated to do it, he would have suffered far more if I left him to the cats. In addition, Nate caught 4 lizards over the course of the weekend, all of which he brought inside. Fortunately I was able to catch all of them and transfer them to a neighbor’s yard. This should be a wild summer.

And then there’s the Lakers. The playoffs started on Sunday and I am not impressed. It’s like they just didn’t care…or at least a few of the players didn’t care. The next game is tomorrow night. We’ll see what happens. I don’t have too much confidence in their ability to win another championship if they continue playing the way they did on Sunday.
