Am almost finished with the accounting work for my personal clients for year-end/tax stuff. Hooray! And just finished up the year-end/tax stuff at work today as well. I am sooo glad to be on the last leg of all this and to be saying goodbye to 2005. Still have to do my own taxes as well as those of a few friends and family, but hope to have all that finished by the end of March.

Planning to do yard work tomorrow. It’s supposed to be in the mid 70’s and sunny…perfect weather for working outdoors. Mostly need to clean up all the flowerbeds and get them ready for a major planting. Also need to do lots of trimming of bushes in the backyard.

Am going to buy a scanner this weekend. I found one that is very cool. In addition to scanning documents, photos, etc., it has slots in the lid where you can insert either slides or negatives. The software allows you to “print” pictures to your computer from the slides or negs. Back in the 70’s, Mike took only slides of everything. So, I have boxes and boxes of slides in the garage. I have no idea what they are, but would like to have them loaded to my computer. Also have lots of old negatives that will be fun to play around with…

All this fun stuff on the horizon makes me want to finish up all this damned accounting that much sooner. I don’t really want to do it, just want to have it finished!
