Well, it’s a bit warmer outside and it’s sunny! Worked out back today. Found a cleaner for the white lattice fence that works great and isn’t too time consuming. It’s a spray cleaner that I bought last year to clean plastic furniture. You spray it on, scrub with a brush and then hose it off. The fence looks sooo much better! It was covered with a black powdery fungus called ‘sooty mold’ that is coming off the bushes in the yard behind me. (These are the same nasty bushes that I’ve had problems with forever.) There is no pesticide that I can use to get rid of this fungus as it is caused by insects and the guy behind me would have to treat all his bushes in order to get rid of this stuff. He never rakes out all the old leaves underneath the bushes, so I’m sure lots of bugs are living there. At least I’ve found a way to get rid of the nastiness on my side of the fence. And so far none of my plants are infected.

Also did a bit of weeding. Amazing how quickly weeds grow when they get a few days of water. Think I’ll have the yard ready for planting next weekend. Now if the weather just cooperates! Last I saw when checking the forecast, there’s a high probability of rain all next weekend. Just figures when I have a long weekend off work for Easter!

Loki snuck out again tonight. This is the first he’s been out since his fight a few weeks ago. I went out the kitchen door to close the garage door and he must have snuck out then. He just returned and, thankfully, didn’t seem to encounter any buddies while out. He’s finally all healed from his last battle and I’ve been doing everything possible to try to keep him in–but he is so devious!

Did a bit of cleaning inside today as well, but just couldn’t get motivated to do as much as I need to do. Maybe next weekend I’ll be more into it, especially if I’m not able to work outside. I just have a problem doing stuff indoors when it’s sunny and warm outdoors.

Also still have to finish my taxes. Not much left to do, but just don’t feel like dealing with them. Really should get it over with since I’ll be getting a refund…
