Really hoped to be heading off to bed early tonight since I have a 7 am meeting tomorrow, but it’s almost 10 pm and I’m just not tired enough yet.  So will try catching up on a bit of blogging with the hope that I’ll be ready for bed after writing a little.

Have spent the past three evenings working at home for one of my private clients–that I am trying to get rid of!!!  My last day working for them is next Monday, 4/30, and I am getting totally dumped on with an unbelievable amount of work at the last minute.  They have yet to hire anyone to take over for me and will be paying me a big hourly rate if they don’t get someone on board soon.  I gave my notice to them back in February, so this is simply a case of waiting until the last minute.  I am so ready to be able to come home and do whatever I want in the evening and on weekends.

Took the night off from accounting work tonight and spent time outside watering plants and then did a bit of laundry.  The weather today was absolutely fabulous with temps in the low 80’s…and it’s supposed to be this way through the weekend!  No doubt I’ll be spending a good portion of the weekend outdoors, and the time inside won’t be all that bad since I’ll be able to open all the windows and doors.

Went to dinner Sunday night at Patrick’s and Veronica’s.  Had great Chinese food and then hung out playing with Patrick’s new media system that he and a coworker built from an X-Box.  Veronica leaves Thursday night for a surprise trip to NYC for her parents’ 40th wedding anniversary.  Patrick can’t go this time, so will spend the long weekend babysitting Floyd and Jack.  Guess I’ll have to invite him over for dinner at some point so that he doesn’t wind up going to In ‘n Out every night while Veronica is away.

Time to try to head off to bed so I can get up at 5:15 am and be somewhat awake by the 7 am meeting.  Yuk.  Possibly I’ll be able to leave work a bit early.  We live in hope.
