The nice, warm, sunny weather gave me the opportunity to get all the Christmas stuff back into the garage–finally! Then got busy outside trimming down all the roses and doing some weeding and cleaning up in the backyard. Not yet completely done, but it looks lots better out back, and the front looks great–especially since the damn tree next door has only a few leaves remaining!

Reorganized the family room, putting all the furniture back in place as well as vacuuming and dusting everything. Still have some general cleaning to do as well as getting all the odds and ends removed from the dining room table, but feel like I’m getting close. I’m not going to start in on any painting until I have the entire house back in good shape, so I have an incentive to get things completed as I am anxious to finish the painting in the family room.

Went out to breakfast this morning with friend Ginger and two of her kids…so I haven’t spent the entire weekend working! Also watched a number of movies on tv since most of the home improvement shows seem to be reruns. Also watched the Golden Globe awards which turned out to be rather dull and boring.

And so I’m off to work tomorrow knowing it’s going to be a brutal week. Gotta finish up all my year end stuff by the end of the week. Just hope I have no unexpected “surprises.”
